Scripture Reading and Thought

Those of us who are strong and able in the faith need to step in and lend a hand to those who falter, and not just do what is most convenient for us. Strength is for service, not status. Each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us, asking ourselves, “How can I help?” That’s exactly what Jesus did. He didn’t make it easy for himself by avoiding people’s troubles, but waded right in and helped out. “I took on the troubles of the troubled,” is the way Scripture puts it. Even if it was written in Scripture long ago, you can be sure it’s written for us.

— Romans 15:1-4

I thank God for his Word. This is the scripture I try to live my life by.  Lift as we climb. No matter what I’m going through, positive or negative…I know that God has my back. When things are going good for me, He keeps me grounded knowing that all praises go to him not me.  When stuff gets tough, I’m always reminded that whatever trial that is happening, this Too Shall Pass.

So as I try to maneuver through this thing called life. I know that the formula of success is through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  With that knowledge, providing uplift, service and having a positive attitude is essential.  Just being a helping hand can go a long way.  So as we continue to strive for improvement and excellence in ourselves, we must not forget to lift up others as we climb.

May God bless reading of His Word.   ~ Darius Hall
