April Is Autism Awareness Month…

Autism is a developmental disorder that appears in the first 3 years of a child’s life.It affects the brain’s normal development of social and communication skills. It is time to highlight the growing need for concern and awareness about autism.  It can affect all races, genders, and nationalities. Most families have a family member that is affected.  Click on the links below to get more information about autism.

My youngest son Bryant was diagnosed with autism after being born premature and being hospitalized for 2 years of his life. Autism is a developmental disorder that causes a great deal of communication and social skills. He’s been able to walk and feed himself. He’s even learned some sign language. He has learned a lot and has a lot more to learn. He’s my strong little man. — Diedra Hall Williams
